Since I am relatively new to this, I thought I would write the first post all about me. I am almost 40 years old, and I live on a farm/ranch in western Kansas. My husband and I have been together for almost 15 years, and we have 5 children between us, 4 girls and 1 boy. The oldest 2 are 20 years old (they are only 3 weeks apart in age), then we have a 19 year old, a 17 year old, and our son is 14. I became a mother at a young age, so my entire adult life has centered around my children. They are all growing up, and I am finding myself wondering what I am going to do when they have all left home. Being a mom is all I know. I have had many discussions with my husband about this and to put it mildly, he hasn't been any help. He is looking forward to having the empty house, being able to travel more, and just enjoy being together. He has it all figured out, but I am not so sure...
Things on a farm in western Kansas are not always exciting so I have to find some ways to pass the time. I love to watch movies. We almost never go to the theater, its way too expensive. However, sometimes i think that once we pay for Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, and satellite service, we could have saved money by going to the movies. I am also a huge news junkie. I try not to watch too much political news tho, it tends to make my blood boil. I don't have a creative bone in my body, and I am extremely unorganized. I aspire to work on those 2 things this year, so any tips or suggestions would be highly appreciated.
